The primary goal of Palmetto Pride is to engage citizens to take responsibility for litter prevention.
Palmetto Pride has helped more than 545,000 volunteers remove 62 million pounds of litter from our roads and natural areas. Since its founding the organization has reduced litter by 60%.
Palmetto Pride executes the Adopt-A-Highway program across the state.
Still, challenges across the state make litter prevention a more daunting task to both undertake and see real results. Our population has grown to 5 million and more highways are under construction.
