Nonprofit leaders join Shine the Light on July 12 to explore how organizational vibrancy impacts mission

June 19, 2016

DNA Creative Communications (DNA), in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County and the Hollingsworth Funds, announces the second part of its 2016 Shine the Light Nonprofit (STL) Forums series, “Creating a Vibrant Culture That Fosters Forward Thinking.” The event will take place on July 12, from 8 a.m. to noon at The Warehouse Theatre, located at 37 Augusta Street in Greenville.

DNA Founder and President Debbie Nelson and local consultant Tan Kirby Davis will conduct the workshop for Greenville‘s nonprofit leaders. “Creating a Vibrant Culture That Fosters Forward Thinking” will focus on the symbols, messages and behaviors that communicate who an organization is and what it does.

“STL attendees will be asked to consider how these characteristics may be hidden or visible, and how they impact their organization’s day-to-day problem solving, operations and capacity building. Participants will walk away with the tools recommended for establishing an environment that encourages innovative leadership and supports change,” shared Nelson. Davis will share best practices and the benchmarks for establishing a vibrant organizational culture.

Tod Tappert – Greenville Health System and Elizabeth Jende – MOVE Performance Consulting – will kick off the conversation by sharing their thoughts on what shapes a thriving organizational culture through an interactive presentation.

The workshop will also include Innovation Labs facilitated by community leaders. These facilitators will encourage attendees to share their own insights and experiences with organizational culture in peer conversations. Innovation Lab Facilitators include Evan Cramer – UCW Logistics, Megan Dodgens – The Riley Institute at Furman University, Whitney Hanna – Greenville County Schools, Guy Hempel – The Hayes Group International, Meliah Bowers Jefferson – Wyche Law Firm, Carlos Quintero – Sales Effectiveness, Tamela Spann – Hollingsworth Funds, Tod Tappert – Greenville Health System, Beverly Ward – Talent Management, Dan Weidenbenner – Mill Village Farms, and Sharon Whitney – United Community Bank.
