Nonprofit registration now open for Midlands Gives Day
October 19, 2021Nonprofit registration is now open for Midlands Gives Day, the annual 18-hour online giving challenge and online giving platform hosted by Central Carolina Community Foundation. This year’s Midlands Gives Day will be on May 3, 2022. Nonprofits can register through January 7, 2022, at www.MidlandsGives.org.
In its ninth year, Midlands Gives Day will not only grow nonprofit capacity of organizations in the Midlands but also serve as a celebration of everyday philanthropy, with prizes, matching funds and more. Since 2019, the Midlands Gives website has served as a year-round online giving platform connecting nonprofits with donors.
“Local nonprofits are vital to the prosperity of our region,” says JoAnn Turnquist, president and CEO of Central Carolina Community Foundation. “When we invest in these organizations, we are investing in our community. The Midlands Gives platform includes profiles of more than 480 organizations — an outstanding vehicle for nonprofit organizations to showcase their impact and tremendous educational resource for community members wishing to invest.”
Midlands Gives Day brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for local nonprofits to amplify their impact, administer vital public services and boost the quality of life in the Midlands. Since its inception in 2014, Midlands Gives has raised more than $15.9 million for hundreds of local nonprofits. In 2021, Midlands Gives Day raised over $3.34 million via 21,080 individual gifts.
