Nonprofits to explore innovative leadership with national coach and community leaders

DNA Creative Communications (DNA), in partnership with Community Foundation of Greenville, United Way of Greenville County and Hollingsworth Funds, announces the launch of its 2016 Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums series, “Transforming Nonprofits Through Innovative Leadership” with its kickoff session “Leading Forward: The Mindset of the Nonprofit Leader.” This event will take place on May 10, from 8 a.m. to noon at The Warehouse Theatre, located at 37 Augusta Street in Greenville.

Leadership and professional development coach Jovian Zayne will present the keynote address at the kickoff session. Zayne, a nationally-recognized thought leader, is committed to helping organizations and individuals “Live on Purpose” through targeted training and unique facilitation experiences. In her most recent corporate position, she served as Managing Director of Talent Recruitment at Teach for America where she was responsible for identifying top talent and cultivating more than 2,000 professionals. Zayne has nearly a decade of experience in change management, global leadership development, and organizational transition planning and design and is a recognized leader in the professional development and diversity-training field.

“Leading Forward: The Mindset of the Nonprofit Leader” will also feature an experience new to Shine the Light with Innovation Labs facilitated by community leaders. Facilitators will encourage attendees to share their experiences and insights in a dynamic, robust and authentic conversation about the power of mindset in achieving an organization’s mission. Innovation Lab facilitators include Michael Allen – McMillan Pazdan Smith, Whitney Hanna – Greenville County Schools, Neetu Ptel – Sycamore Investment Group, Billy Crank – Michelin North America (retired) and community volunteer, Calvin Hurst – TD Bank, Cherington Love Shucker – Greenville Center for Creative Arts, Gail DePriest – Clemson University, Tobi Kinsell – United Way of Greenville County, Beverly Ward – Talent Management, Jo Watson Hackl – Wyche Law Firm, Addy Matney – TM Public Relations, Nika White – Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and Carol Hamilton – Red Fox Road.

Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums is an annual series of educational workshops presented by DNA Creative Communications in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, United Way of Greenville County and the Hollingsworth Funds.
