Organist and international concert artist, Stefan Engels, to perform at organ dedication and recital

COLUMBIA, SC – On September 27, 2015, at 3:00 pm, Spring Valley Presbyterian Church will hold a service of dedication and recital for a new organ recently installed in the church sanctuary. The organ, an Allen Quantum custom series 58-stop, three manual console (406 voices) was custom designed by George Hiatt, Allen Organ Representative from Fox Music House, Charleston. Internationally known organist, Stefan Engels, will perform. Engels is Professor of Organ and Leah Fullinwider Centennial Chair of Organ at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He is also Founder and Artistic Director of the European Organ Academy Leipzig as well as the Karg-Elert Festival in Leipzig, Germany. Engels maintains an active international concert schedule, as well as serving as a lecturer, teacher, and juror for competitions. He is represented by Karen McFarlane Artists Inc.
