Threshold Repertory Theatre presents Perfectly Normel People by our 2014 Playwrights-in-Residence, Thomas and Judy Heath. You’ve seen excerpts from this hilarious show, now you get to see the full production during this limited engagement.Winner of the TheaterMania Audience Favorite Award 2013 New York International Fringe Festival, Perfectly Normel People is a must see!

The play, which premiered at the 2012 Piccolo Spoleto Festival and broke 30-year old box office records for a non-musical, is a fish-out-of-water comedy about what happens when a NYU college freshman from Kansas moves in with a dysfunctional Italian-American family from Queens. The show will reunite 8 of the original cast members, as well as new comers, College of Charleston acting students Billy Nugent and Avery Cole.

We are honored that Threshold Rep has chosen to present Perfectly Normel People at their wonderful, intimate theatre, said Thomas. It is going to be so exciting and we look forward to the new cast members since the Off-Broadway run create their roles of this crazy, but loving family, added Judy.

It’s 1981; the Ramones ruled the ‘village’, Reagan ruled the country, and the only rule in the Normellino household was, whoever shouts loudest gets heard. A dose of laugh-out-loud humor and heart make this show prefect for everyone.
