COLUMBIA, SC – Calling all motorcycle enthusiasts!  The Thunder Riders H.O.G (Harley Owners Group) Chapter #2051 is hosting a charity poker run, walk or crawl to raise money for Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter, a home for abused, neglected and homeless children.  The fundraiser takes place Saturday, June 4th from 10am to 3pm at Thunder Tower Harley-Davidson at 190 Pontiac Business Center Drive in Elgin.

There will be food, music, a silent auction and plenty of Harleys to look at.  The best poker hand wins $300, second best wins $200 and the worst hand wins $100.  Admission is $15 at the door and enters you into a drawing for some great door prizes.  100% of the proceeds go to helping abused, neglected and homeless children and teen living at Palmetto Place. For more information, go to www.thunderridershog.com/chapter_events.html.

Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter is a safe haven for abused and neglected children and homeless teens throughout the state of South Carolina. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children have access to after-school programs, tutoring, recreational and social activities. We offer a broad range of services that concentrate on personal healing and development including medical attention, mental health care, crisis adjustment and transitional counseling. We help children succeed; their grades improve and their behaviors stabilize. Here, the state’s most desperate children are home.
