Postcard from Paris Engages Six Interns for the Summer

GREENVILLE, SC – May 14, 2012 – Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris® Home has filled its summer internship positions with six talented individuals from Clemson, Furman, University of Georgia, Auburn University, and Purdue University. All began their internships with the firm in May and will participate in a variety of projects and opportunities to help them gain practical experience in interior design.

“We created an internship program a number of years ago because we wanted to offer students an opportunity to learn and explore what the design field has to offer,” says Linda McDougald, principal and lead designer of Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home. “We feel it is a wonderful way to support this generation, promote the design field, and enhance our business in different ways. And it also gives us an opportunity to connect with talented, energetic individuals and potentially find someone who may be a good fit for our firm long-term.”

Joining the firm are the following:

• Reisha Allport: Clemson University, pursuing a Masters in Architecture
• Sara Cheikelard: Clemson University, pursuing a Masters in Architecture
• Betty Zhang: Auburn University, majoring in interior design
• Elise Wilson: Furman University, majoring in digital and visual studies
• Liz Young: Purdue University, majoring in interior design
• Cory Byerly: Recent graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned her B.A. in furniture and interior design
