Reaching peak performance – How to achieve your dreams

Know anyone who wants to be a low-performer?
Of course not. You don’t associate with those people.
I personally avoid people like that. They’re losers.
Business owners and entrepreneurs aim for the stars.

In sports, athletes create daily habits and rituals.
These help them get in ‘The Zone’ where they excel.
More about “The Zone’ later.
Business people can do the same thing.
Unfortunately, too many of them don’t.
They’re good at setting goals and making to-do lists.
But they don’t check off the goals they set.
And they don’t hold themselves accountable.

That’s step #1. Write your dream list.
Make it in two parts:
1. Short term goals, as in done today of this week.
2. Long-term goals, anything taking longer than that.

In making long-term goal plans, you need to:
1. Write what the dream will look like when achieved.
2. Include how you will feel about it – your motive.
3. List each step to reach the eventual dream or goal.
4. List who will be responsible for each step.
That may mean multiple people.
If so, what each of them must do to make it happen.
5. Set a deadline for achieving each step.
Hold yourself and others accountable.
Without deadlines, few things get done.
Without accountability, no one answers for anything.
