Renowned Pianist Joyce Yang to perform at BJU

GREENVILLE, SC – October 4, 2011 – Renowned pianist Joyce Yang will join the Bob Jones Symphony Orchestra for an evening of beautiful music, October 7 at 8 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium.   The Greenville community is welcome.  Tickets are available for purchase at bju.edu/tickets or by calling 864-370-1372.
 
Under the direction of conductor R. Christine Lee, the BJU Symphony Orchestra will accompany Ms. Yang during her performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2.  Ms. Yang is said to be the most gifted young pianist of her generation.  Born in Seoul, Korea, and having studied at The Juilliard School, Yang has already appeared with the finest orchestras in the world, which include The New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra among others.
