Richland Library reopens third level with new look

March 2, 2016
Richland Library Main is undergoing a transformation. Starting March 1, our staff are unveiling the newly renovated and reconfigured Third Level, featuring our state-of-the-art Business, Careers and Research Center. It’s the perfect spot to connect with clients, finish your thesis or explore new career opportunities.
We are encouraging the community to come and check out some of the dedicated spaces, which include:

  • Career Process Center: Career Coaches meet one-on-one with customers to assist with resume, job application, career assessment and interviewing strategies.
  • Coworking Center: Six free, fully equipped desks with power outlets, a Mac station with Adobe Creative Suite and storage lockers.
  • Family Career Studio: Job seekers with children can work on resumes, job applications and achieving career goals.
  • Networking Center: Participate in a professional webinar, virtual interview or meet one-on-one with a community partner.
  • Small Business Center: Resources for small business owners to start or grow their business.
The upgrades are part of a $15 million project planned for the Main location, made possible by Richland County residents with the passage of a $59 million bond referendum back in 2013.
