Richland One teacher invited to the White House

Stephanie M. Johnson, a third-grade teacher at H.B. Rhame Elementary School, has been invited to the White House to attend a May 3 celebration honoring National and State Teachers of the Year, as well as other educators from across the country.
In June 2015, Ms. Johnson was selected as a Hope Street Group National Teacher Fellow, the first selected from South Carolina.
Last year, she, along with 17 National Teacher Fellows worked in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) to improve teacher preparation programs.
