‘We can’t begin to thank RPS enough for this incredible donation which will keep our doors open to 32 families for several weeks,’ said Quince E. Cody, President/CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston (RMHC Charleston) is a 32 bedroom, home away from home, for families who have children in intensive care units in nearby hospitals. Here, parents and children lead a life as normal as possible during their traumatic times without the financial burden of costly hotel and travel expenses.

In 2015, RMHC Charleston was able to help 806 families who traveled to Charleston for their child’s medical treatment.  They also completed an expansion with 5 new bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully renovated kitchen, a kitchenette and computer area.  With the support of the community, RMHC Charleston is able to keep our doors open for our 32 families each and every night.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at MUSC Children’s Hospital provides a sanctuary within the walls of the hospital where family members can rest, read, shower, have a snack or a cup of coffee while still being only minutes away from
their seriously ill child.
