Robert E. Bendetti Jr. Named Volunteer Advisor to South Carolina Federal Credit Union

 N. CHARLESTON, SC— South Carolina Federal Credit Union has selected Robert E. Bendetti Jr. to serve as the newest Volunteer Advisor to its Board of Directors.

The Volunteer Advisor program exists to provide additional input from the membership and to familiarize a select group of individuals, who may in the future serve on the credit union’s Supervisory Committee and/or Board of Directors, with credit union operations.

As a Volunteer Advisor, Bendetti will cultivate a strong knowledge of credit union philosophy and operations, attend monthly board meetings and contribute to decisions determining South Carolina Federal’s future. Given his areas of expertise, he will serve as an advisor to the Sales and Marketing Committee

Bendetti is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Life Cycle Engineering (LCE).  As CFO, he is responsible for all financial operations of the company, including; accounting, financial planning, contracting, purchasing and information technology.

Previously, he served as vice president of Finance at Galey & Lord and CFO of The Coastal Logistics Group, as well as, financial management positions within Lockheed Martin, Hormel Foods, and Hilton Hotels.

Robert’s volunteer activities include serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA), volunteer event coordinator for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), volunteer facilitator providing financial planning to low income families through Financial Peace University (FPU), volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and volunteer Youth Athletics coach through the YMCA.
