CHARLESTON, SC – January 25, 2011 – Rogers Townsend & Thomas,PC, a law firm with more than 400 attorneys and staff practicing in awide range of areas in Columbia and Charlotte, is expanding intoCharleston. William A. Scott, formerly of Pedersen & Scott, willhead the new office.
Scott has 20 years of experience practicing in the areas of state andfederal procurement, commercial and home construction, business tortsand admiralty law.

A 1990 graduate of the University of South Carolina Law School, Scottobtained his undergraduate degree in engineering, naval architectureand marine engineering from the University of Michigan. Before becomingan attorney, he worked in shipbuilding, both in the private sector andfor the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
The new office will be located at 775 St. Andrews Blvd. in Charleston – the same as the former location of Pederson & Scott.
