Samsung welcomes Annmarie Higgins as Human Resources Executive

Samsung Electronics Home Appliances America (SEHA) is excited to announce a new human resources executive to the Newberry team. With a sharp focus on facilitating change and improving work environments, Annmarie Higgins will serve as Director of Human Resources, EHS, General Affairs, and Utilities at SEHA in Newberry, South Carolina. In this role, she will lead the efforts within the Human Resources, EHS, General Affairs and Utilities departments and report directly to the President and CEO.

Annmarie Higgins’s human resources experience spans over 25 years, with a majority of her work taking place in manufacturing facilities. Starting as a chemical engineer and growing into a seasoned human resources professional, Higgins served as vice president human resources for SCANA Corporation, BMW North America and BMW Manufacturing. Annmarie has experience handling mergers, developing leadership programs and healthcare initiatives.

An active member in her community, Annmarie serves on the Board of Directors for Prisma Health, Upstate Affiliate, as well as on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greenville County. She previously served on the Board of Directors for United Way of the Piedmont, Utilities Employees Credit Union Board, University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business Riegel and Emory HR Advisory Board, South Carolina Business Coalition on Health Board of Directors, and the United Way Young Philanthropist Society.

Annmarie received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
