SC Bar Young Lawyers Name Award Recipients

Seven Stars of the Quarter Awards given
 
COLUMBIA, SC – The SC Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) has named seven Stars of the Quarter Award recipients. The awards recognize YLD members who exemplify dedication to public service and YLD initiatives. 
 
Congratulations to the following YLD members for their work with the following committees and projects.
 
Sheila Bias of Richardson Plowden & Robinson, PA in Columbia was recognized for her role as chair of the 2015 Columbia Cinderella Project, which provided gently worn prom dresses to girls who could not otherwise afford one in the Midlands.
 
Greg Collins of Grier, Cox & Cranshaw, LLC in Lexington was recognized for his involvement with the American Bar Association YLD’s service project, Project Street Youth, which organizes legal clinics for homeless and transitional youth throughout the state.
 
Rebecca Goings of the S.C. Judicial Department in Columbia was recognized for her role in planning YLD events for the annual Bar Convention.
 
Adam Landy of McNair Law Firm, PA in Columbia was recognized for his service on the Annual Bar Convention Committee, Color of Justice Committee and as chair of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Committee, as well as his involvement with the American Bar Association YLD’s service project, Project Street Youth. 
 
Elizabeth Palmer of Rosen Rosen & Hagood, LLC in Charleston was recognized for her involvement with the American Bar Association YLD’s service project, Project Street Youth, which organizes legal clinics for homeless and transitional youththroughout the state.
 
Tommy Preston Jr. of Nexsen Pruet, LLC in Columbia was recognized for his role as co-chair of the Annual Bar Convention Committee. 
 
Rebecca Roser of Robinson McFadden & Moore, PC in Columbia was recognized for her role as co-chair of the Annual Bar Convention Committee.

The YLD includes all members of the SC Bar under age 36 and those with less than five years membership.
