Scott Burgess joins Colliers International

New addition to retail brokerage in Greenville further expands Colliers’ footprint in the Upstate
GREENVILLE, SC – Colliers International announced the addition of Scott Burgess as Brokerage Associate to its location in Greenville. He will specialize in retail brokerage, which will include the representation of owners, buyers and tenants in purchasing and leasing retail space.
Burgess has extensive experience with commercial real estate. He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s in Financial Management – Real Estate and received a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Wake Forest University School of Business. Prior to joining Colliers, Burgess led the redevelopment of a 23,000 square foot retail shopping center, including lease negotiation, financing and design/construction coordination. He also brings experience in banking and marketing, which are invaluable to retail clients.
With this addition, Burgess becomes the 18th member of the Retail Services Group, Colliers’ group of brokerage associates specializing in retail brokerage in South Carolina. The group has a long list of clients represented as tenants and landlords across the state. The hire comes at an especially opportune time for Greenville and the Upstate’s retail market, which saw decreased vacancy and increased construction and redevelopment in the second quarter of 2015. With his experience in redevelopment and financing, Burgess will be well situated to assist retail clients to maximize their opportunities in a tightening market.
