SCRA announces organizational transition

SUMMERVILLE, SC – SCRA, a state-chartered organization that furthers South Carolina’s technology economy, announced an organizational separation from its government contracting affiliate, Advanced Technology International (ATI), formerly SCRA Applied R&D. This transition follows an SCRA Board of Trustees’ Executive Committee decision to separate the organizations as part of the approved annual operating and strategic plans.
The transition allows SCRA to focus on its mission to enrich South Carolina’s technology economy. As part of the process, both SCRA and ATI have launched new websites (www.scra.org and www.ati.org), allowing the organizations to maintain separate identities for their respective constituencies.
SCRA Executive Committee Chairman Bill Blume said, “SCRA remains committed to enriching and enabling the state’s technology economy, as was intended in its enabling legislation. I look forward to building upon the successes of SCRA and the SC Launch program, streamlining the organization with a more precise and renewed focus. SCRA will ensure that South Carolina’s research universities, entrepreneurs and industry are connected, in order to support and enable the innovation ecosystem.”
