New platform helps simplify communication and increase engagement

CrowdReach, a new Charleston-based startup, has launched the beta version of its communication platform. Developed for small businesses, nonprofits and faith-based organizations, CrowdReach combines the power of e-mail, text, social media and real-time promotions to allow organizations to effectively communicate with their customers, supporters and members.

“CrowdReach allows users to control both the message and the medium,” said Trey Rust, CEO of CrowdReach. “Reaching people the way they want to be reached with targeted messages without the hassle of multiple communication platforms helps organizations increase their efficiency and results.”

CrowdReach users can easily craft, tailor, schedule and send a message via e-mail, text and social media—all from a centralized web or mobile platform. It also enables users to create custom graphics that can be used to provide a real-time promotion and other forms of engaging content like inspirational quotes and memes. As research consistently shows, social images result in the highest level of engagement.

Growing up around small businesses in South Carolina, Rust was inspired to create CrowdReach for organizations without the time or technical expertise to manage robust e-mail marketing and social media strategies. Whether an organization wants to contact its top customers or one-time visitors, users can create a message or promotion and quickly send it to a segmented list across multiple channels.

Johnny Caldwell and Taneka Reaves, CrowdReach beta clients and co-owners of Cocktail Bandits, praised the platform’s ability to expedite the communication process by helping them easily reach their more than 21,000 followers across multiple channels. “Our business model relies on communicating with our followers on the go,” said co-owner Johnny Caldwell. “We experimented with other web-based platforms, but none was as mobile-friendly as CrowdReach.”

During Charleston Fashion Week March 15–19, bloggers will participate in an exclusive preview of the CrowdReach mobile application to interact with followers and report on events as they unfold. The platform will be generally available in the coming months.
