Sites announced for children’s free summer meal program

June 15, 2016

Through August 12, Richland One will provide free healthy meals to children 18 years old or younger at more than 100 sites throughout the community.

This year, there will be two types of meal sites served by the federally-funded program. Some sites are open to all children and others are only for children participating in specific programs (such as summer camps) being held at those locations. At the public sites, children simply go in and request a meal. There is no cost and no forms for parents to complete.

The meal site locations are posted on the district’s website, www.richlandone.org. The listing will be updated as more sites are added throughout the summer. Meals will be served Monday through Friday at sites that are open to the public, except where noted. Parents should contact the site locations for more details.
