Sonesta makes a big pink splash this October with “Think Pink” to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Awareness month

October 19, 2016

Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island goes pink this October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month as part of its “Think Pink” campaign. In addition to literally turning pink – yes, the resort will be turning its lit logo on the main entrance pink for the occasion – Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island will also offer guests unique ways to support fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Offers include its exclusive “Think Pink” package, which features a $20 resort donation to the Foundation for each night booked. Guests can also enjoy 10% off of all resort food and the best available rate with the special October package. To book, visit (https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?Hotel=56762&Chain=5157&promo=PINK)

The resort will also feature an honorary “pink table” at its popular onsite restaurant, Heyward’s. Diners seated at the table will have 10% of their meal’s cost donated to the cause. And while enjoying dinner or an afternoon of leisure at the resort, you can also choose from three “Think Pink” specialty cocktails, all donating $1 for every drink sold. These delicious concoctions include:

  • Tickled Pink – a delightful mixture of gin, muddled cucumber, fresh lemon, simply syrup and a touch of cranberry splash
  • Strawberry Smash – a fruity combination of citrus vodka, elderflower liquor, fresh lemon and muddled strawberry topped with a dash of soda
  • Raspberry Lemon Drop – citrus vodka paired with Chambord, muddled raspberry, fresh lemon, simple syrup and soda

For those who love to shop at Sonesta’s Pearls Gift Shop, the resort will donate 10% of all sales on any pink-branded Sonesta items to the Foundation. So load up on your favorite pink items!

If relaxation and pampering are right up your alley, book any pink manicure or pedicure at the resort’s full-service Arum Spa and 10% of the cost will also be donated.

“Our resort team is grateful for the opportunity to support not only the cause for Breast Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, but also our friends, family members, neighbors and resort guests who have been affected by breast cancer,” said Jay Wiendl, general manager of Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. “This cause is close to our hearts and we hope that our efforts will encourage and inspire others to give to the cause, fight strong and ultimately assist in finding a cure.”

One significant pillar of the Sonesta brand is its Culture of Caring, a program that encourages each property and resort within the Sonesta Collection to identify meaningful opportunities to give back to the community and support nonprofits. This latest campaign in support Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Susan G. Komen Foundation is an excellent opportunity for the resort, guests and locals to help raise awareness and give to a meaningful cause.
