South Carolina Alliance to Fix Our Roads announces new management structure

The South Carolina Alliance to Fix Our Roads (SCFOR) Board of Directors announced a change within their nonprofit’s staff structure and operations. As of July 1, 2016, Executive Director Bill Ross will transition to the position of President and CEO. The board-approved management change will give Ross greater flexibility in promoting the efforts of SCFOR and their mission moving forward. Ross will continue to serve as the chief spokesperson for the organization and approve all strategic plans.

Bill Ross joined SCFOR in 2012, first serving as the Executive Director. Bill has forty-five years of experience in association management and governmental affairs. He previously worked with The South Carolina Trucking Association, where he served as a Governmental Affairs Associate. Prior to that, Ross was the Executive Director of the South Carolina Petroleum Council, the state division of the American Petroleum Institute. Ross is a lifelong native of South Carolina and currently resides in Lexington, SC.

Also, effective July 1, Associate Director, Jordan Marsh, will transition to Vice President and COO. In this role, Jordan will be responsible for day-to-day management of SCFOR. Specifically, Jordan will lead membership development, implementation of SCFOR’s strategic plan and advocacy, including government affairs, public relations and social media programs.

Jordan Marsh joined SCFOR in 2014, first serving as the Government Affairs Administrator. Raised in Florence, S.C., Jordan graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Political Science and Minor in Public Relations. He began his career working in the offices of Senator Lindsey Graham, and the S.C. Senate Finance Committee. Jordan joined SCFOR after working on local and statewide elections.

SCFOR Chairman Joel Reynolds said, “Our organization will continue to encourage legislators to pass sustainable and long-term transportation infrastructure legislation. Further, we believe that the aforementioned management changes will maximize our effort to accomplish our goals set forth. ”
