South Carolina College All Star Bowl alums to get pro shots

GREENVILLE, SC – May 2, 2013 – A host of players who took part in the inaugural South Carolina College All Star Bowl are getting the opportunity to play at the professional level.

Five players are now on NFL Rosters and heading to NFL camps.  Those players are: Chris Billingslea, a defensive end from The Citadel, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks; Furman wide receiver R.J. Webb, who signed with the Carolina Panthers; North Greenville University linebacker Jonathan Sharpe, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks; Presbyterian College defensive tackle, Xavier Boatright, who signed with the Washington Redskins, and Johnson C. Smith offensive linemen Jordan Mosely, who signed with the New York Giants.

In addition, Jameze Massey, a wide receiver from Winston-Salem State University, signed a deal with the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Adam Dulberger, a cornerback from Davidson, signed to play with the German League’s Cottbus Crayfish.

The South Carolina College All Star Bowl

The South Carolina College All Star Bowl was played on March 23, 2013 at North Greenville University. The 2014 game is set for March 15.  The game pitted a team of college seniors representing the Upstate of South Carolina versus a team from the Lowcountry.
