Spend 2nd Sunday Afternoon on King Street with Music, Shopping, Dining and Fun

2nd Sunday on King Street returns this Sunday, June 10 with shopping, music, dining and strolling on Charleston’s Main Street.
The 2nd Sunday Information Tent will hold a free drawing to give away a beautiful gift box from Savannah Bee Company. Register to win at Wentworth and King or by emailing [email protected]. Parking Vouchers for free parking in any City of Charleston Parking Garage will also be available at the Information Tent.
2nd Sunday Musicians will include students from the Charleston County School of the Arts, Shrimp City Slim, The Honeybees, The Rustic Remedy, Sharon Robles and TOFU, Lisa Deakins and Gravel Road.
Shelby Nelson from Charleston Recycled will appear at the Information Tent at Wentworth and King to talk about his products and projects. Author Ken Burger will be on hand to sign Baptized in Sweet Tea and his previously released novels. You can meet Sidewalk Chalk’s great volunteers who help students create stories and art in area schools.
Lowcountry Local First will kick off their Membership Drive at Verde, where you can pick up a Buy Local Card, a fresh healthy salad and a chance to win an Affordabike.
Le Creuset will host a cooking demonstration featuring Chef Steven Lusby from the brand new Lowcountry Bistro on Market Street. Chef will prepare South Carolina Stone-Ground Grit Cakes with East Coast Shrimp Relish prepared in Le Creuset’s 10.25 Iron Handle Skillets. The skillets will be on sale for $100.00 (regular price $130.00).
At the Preservation Society of Charleston Book and Gift Shop Brian Hicks will sign his new book City of Ruin: Charleston at War 1860 – 1865. Captain Christopher Byrd Downey will sign Stede Bonnet, Charleston’s Gentleman Pirate. Photographer/artist Michael Kaynard will discuss and display his body of work – At Street Level which focuses on Charleston scenes.
