Festival to celebrate 30 years with special distinction
GREENVILLE, SC – May 18, 2011 – St. Francis Fall for Greenville has been selected as one of theSoutheast Tourism Society’s (STS) Top 20 Events in the Southeast forOctober 2011. The festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary October14 – 16 in downtown Greenville.
It is truly an honor to bedesignated as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast, especially this year as St. Francis Fall for Greenville celebrates its 30thanniversary,” said Fall for Greenville Board President Chris Robinson.“It gives our festival great regional and national exposure andencourages people to visit for the three-day event weekend to samplesome of Greenville’s best cuisine. The best events across the Southeast compete each quarter to receive the prestigious Top 20 Eventdesignation. Through a nomination process, STS chooses the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for each month of the year and publishes the list ofwinners quarterly. The Top 20 Events publication is distributed to morethan 1,600 media outlets including magazines, newspapers, radio stations and television stations.
The Southeast Tourism Society is anon-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development oftourism throughout the southeast. Founded in 1983, the STS now encompass a dozen states in the southeast region and a membership of 1,000individuals. Members represent all facets of the travel industry andwork cooperatively to strengthen the region as a travel destination.
