St. Peter’s Catholic School Unveils New Website

June 25, 2014

COLUMBIA, SC –  The longest, continuously-running Catholic school in South Carolina has launched a new website highlighting its commitment to providing an academically challenging education in a safe, nurturing environment. St. Peter’s Catholic School in Columbia has been an educational ministry of St. Peter’s Catholic Church since 1852.  The new website, http://stpeterscatholicschool.org/, pays homage to the school’s decades of tradition while featuring a refreshed look and new media tools.

“One of the unique features of the site is its introduction of video testimonials featuring parents, past students and financial aid recipients,” said Principal Kathy Preston. “The videos are a new media tool that allows visitors and prospective parents and students to get to know St. Peter’s personally while highlighting the school’s diverse capabilities.”

The launch of the website is part of St. Peter’s School’s new marketing strategy that emphasizes superior customer service. The user-friendly platform is easy to navigate and features drop-down menus, email contact forms, class newsletters for parents, admissions and financial aid pages, and upcoming events.

“We invite you cruise the website, watch the videos, read the parent testimonials, and learn the backgrounds of every teacher and administrator at the school,” said Emily Hero, Development Director at St. Peter’s Catholic School. “We think you will see us as knowledgeable, professional, and down-to-earth good neighbors who care just as much about enriching the lives of our children and communities as you do.”

Designed by freelance web designer Brandon Derrick, the website’s modernized look and strategically created content was developed to continuously provide immediate access to quality information as well as an intimate portrayal of the personalized service received by families of St. Peter’s Catholic School.

“I thoroughly enjoy working with the teachers and parents in order to provide the best learning environment for the students. This small, faith-filled community seeks academic excellence, celebrates diversity and takes advantage of the many cultural resources that surround our downtown campus,” said Principal Preston.
