Stacy Kuper announces candidacy for Greenville County Council District 21

Community and business leader Stacy Kuper announced Friday she plans to run for County Council Seat 21, which represents a wide swath of the county’s eastside.
“I have been your neighbor for the past nine years and have committed myself to the Greenville community serving on boards and commissions ranging from Pendleton Place to Safe Harbor to Leadership Greenville while raising my family and working full time in the technology industry,” she said. “Now, I want to do more for the people around me. That is why I am running for County Council Seat 21 and want your support this June 14 in the Republican Primary.”
Kuper is the sales director for Net3 Technology and is active in the community. She is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 38, serves an executive board Parliamentarian for Pendleton Place, the Greenville Police Foundation, the LG Curriculum Board, the Greenville Chamber Small Business Development Council and served on the Greenville County Economic Development Council’s advisory board. She also volunteers with the American, Red Cross, Euphoria, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald house and many more.
Standing in front of her supporters, Kuper outlined a strategy aimed at promoting more green space in her district, creating a plan for growth and business that is proactive and working to bridge more of the gaps in regional politics.
“I believe I can handle the position and responsibilities well. I also bring new ideas that I think will work well for our district, which with rapid growth,” she said. “This community is the pride of Greenville. I will work to make sure we have the amenities that keep people coming to our community. I will make sure we stay unique. That is my promise.”
Kuper said District 21 has been a drawing card for Greenville growth for years, but faces challenges of over congestion, aging infrastructure and lack of green space.
“As your councilwoman, I will work with you and for you to get more green space in our district. Work on a proactive business plan that encourages new jobs. Help develop a plan to better manage infrastructure and make connections for our community,” she said.
