Stanley promoted to LMES principal

LEXINGTON, SC – During a special board meeting on June 9, 2016, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Jennifer A. Stanley to principal of Lake Murray Elementary School.

Stanley has been an assistant principal at Oak Grove Elementary School since 2007.

She began her career in education with Lexington One in 1995 as a teaching assistant at Saxe Gotha Elementary School for a year, where she remained as a fourth-grade teacher until 1999 when she moved to Red Bank Elementary School.

After four years as a second-grade teacher at RBES, Stanley was promoted to the position of assistant principal at Gilbert Elementary School in 2002.

Stanley earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Presbyterian College and a Master of Arts in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.

She is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators, Columbia Area Reading Council and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
