Striped Pig Distillery to Unleash New Spirits

October 19, 2014

CHARLESTON, SC – Striped Pig Distillery opened summer 2013 and their first spirits hit retail shelves October 1, 2013. After a year of quenching South Carolina’s thirst for handcrafted, small-batch spirits, they are now teasing the public about what’s coming next.

At the end of September, whispers began about new spirits, perhaps dark ones, set to release this fall. Now that we are halfway through October, the small distillery tucked away in the Upper Peninsula of Charleston, is finally beginning to reveal more.

“We are so excited to release this new stuff, it will be perfect for the season. We’ve definitely told a few people what’s coming up, but for the most part we are trying to keep what the spirits exactly are under wraps. With the new spirits comes some other new things, all of which we want to be a nice surprise for our supporters and friends,” Head Distiller, Johnny Pieper said.

Striped Pig Distillery currently makes Striped Vodka and 120 proof Striped ‘Shine from corn grown in Bowman, SC. and Striped Rum made with molasses from Savannah, GA.

Stay up to date about what the distillery is releasing and when through their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
