Terence Roberts is the Mayor of Anderson, South Carolina. The City of Anderson is located in the northwest corner of the state of South Carolina on the Piedmont Plateau. It is the county seat located in the geographical center of the county and principal city in Anderson County. Anderson County is one of the ten counties that comprise the “Upstate” of South Carolina, a region with over 1.2M people.
Since he became Mayor ten years ago, the strategic focus of the City has been 1) downtown, 2) recreation, and 3) neighborhoods. The result is a vibrant downtown area with new businesses restaurants, cool public spaces and public art. From April – August, downtown is also host to the Piedmont Natural Gas Block Party starting every Thursday night at 6:00 pm.
