Test your surgical skills on the da Vinci robot
June 11, 2012NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – June 7, 2012 – Trident Health’s South Carolina Institute for Robotic Surgery invites you to get behind the controls of the da Vinci surgical robot. Everyone in attendance will be able to move the unit’s arms, play with the instruments and experience what surgeons see and feel when they use the robot to operate. Individuals will have the opportunity to perform a simulated one-minute surgery. Prizes will be given to the highest scorers, with the grand prize winner receiving an I-pad. A team of robotic surgeons and medical staff will be on hand to answer questions and help guide you through your simulated robotic surgery.
The free event will take place on Saturday June 23 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Trident Medical Arts Building, located at 9313 Medical Plaza Dr. in N. Charleston next to Trident Medical Center.
