GREENVILLE, SC –  – The Fine Arts Center (FAC), a school for gifted high school students in the literary, visual and performing arts, was selected to host the Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival in Greenville for 2015.

The Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival, one of the oldest music festivals in the US, is held annually in Western North Carolina. Founded in 1970, The Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival is the premier chamber music festival of the Carolinas. The festival features musicians from across the country and the players generally include a string quartet, a woodwind quintet and a pianist.

For its 45th season, the festival is expanding its reach to include a new venue in Greenville. “With its unique downtown and thriving cultural scene set against the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, Greenville offers an additional locale of atmospheric excellence,” said Inessa Zaretsky, Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival music director. “We’ve always wanted to perform there, and through the help of new friends and partners, we are excited to have secured the perfect venue – the beautiful Fine Arts Center.”

The Greenville festival will run from July 3rd through August 1st and will feature five different programs at the Greenville Fine Arts Center on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available for the entire season for $100.

The Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival in Greenville is made possible by a grant from the Elbert W. Rogers Foundation. “The Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival has been a beacon of artistic and musical excellence for 45 years,” said Beth Lee, president of the Elbert W. Rogers Foundation. “I am very happy to be a part of it and to help bring such an amazing group of musicians to our community.”
