The Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc. appoints Randall Goldman as president

The Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc. (GCRA) named industry veteran Randall Goldman, chief executive officer of Patrick Properties Hospitality Group (PPHG), as President of the organization. Sam Mustafa, CEO of Charleston Hospitality Group, remains in his role as Vice President and Athan Fokas, manager of Old Town Grill and Seafood, continues to serve as Secretary/Treasurer. The organization also appointed six new board members.

“I am thrilled to step into the role as President of the restaurant association and spearhead addressing the current challenge facing Charleston’s hospitality industry-the growing shortage of workers,” shares Goldman. “Charleston is one of the nation’s most premier culinary destinations abound with endless career opportunities and, along with our full board, I look forward to unveiling new programs and initiatives to help attract and retain successful employees.”

Goldman cofounded PPHG as managing partner in 1997. Properties include Lowndes Grove Plantation, William Aiken House, American Theater and Fish Restaurant (currently being reimagined into Parcel 32). Today, PPHG employs more than 120 full-time employees under his direction. Among a long list of civic involvement and charitable outreach, Goldman is a current member of the James Beard Foundation National Advisory Board, immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for Charleston Wine + Food Festival and member of the Board for the South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association.
