The Makers Summit brings creative entrepreneurs to Greenville

January 28, 2016

Business conferences for artists are few and far between. But Greenville has been home to The Makers Summit for the past four years. Began as an intimate one-day conference for 100, it now stretches over two days and features keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and even one-on-one sessions with business experts in various fields.

Last year, The Makers Summit attracted 225 makers from 27 states whose goal was to learn collaboratively from others in the industry. Held in downtown Greenville, the conference provides a mix of education and support to a unique group of entrepreneurs in the creative industry. In Greenville and across the nation, makers represent a growing demographic of business owners.

For 2016, the two-day conference will feature 17 speakers, including Mo Mullen from the West Elm Local initiative, author and designer Justina Blakeney, and Amy Richardson-Golia, creator of the children’s brand June & January.

The 2016 Makers Summit will be held at the Clemson ONE space in downtown Greenville on March 4-5. To learn more about the conference or purchase a ticket, visit themakerssummit.com.
