The Peace Center Announces 2011-2012 Season

GREENVILLE, SC – July 14, 2010 – It’s a new season, a new Peace Center…and the excitement is building. The Peace Center is excited to announce their 2011-2012 season, including marquee performers and stars from music and comedy, Broadway blockbusters, and the return of The Place for Everyone series, this year featuring eight world-class performances with tickets starting at just $5.

The Lion King: Disney’s THE LION KING will play an exclusive four-week premiere engagement at the Peace Center beginning Tuesday June 12, 2012, with performances playing through Sunday July 8, 2012. The North American touring production of THE LION KING has been seen by over 12.7 million theatergoers and grossed over $834 million to date.  Having already played more than 60 cities across North America, THE LION KING now proudly makes its Greenville premiere at the Peace Center. The Peace Center’s popular Ballet in Cinema and Opera in Cinema performances will continue featuring some of the world’s most prestigious performing arts venues…right from the comfort of the Gunter Theatre.
