The Scottish Games and Gallabrae are coming

GREENVILLE, SC – April 25, 3013 – The Greenville Scottish Games and the Gallabrae experience is coming to Greenville May 23rd – 25th.  Additional information can be found at our website:  http://gallabrae.com

There are a number of key items in this press release:

1)  The Schedule of Events:

  • Thursday, May 23 – Gallabrae comes to the Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive with music!  The City of Greenville and the Metropolitan Arts Council are allowing Gallabrae to provide the music for this event.  This event runs from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and it takes place in NOMA Square in front of the Hyatt on Main Street.

             Playing this year:

             Smash The Radio – a great local band that plays rock, originals and Americana.

             The City of Greenville Pipes & Drums – our fantastic host band of the games!

             Cleghorn – an incredible celtic rock band.

  • Friday, May 24 – The Great Scot! Parade will begin at 6pm on the corner of East North Street and Main Street.  Royal Highland Fusiliers, Pipe & Drum bands, our Honorary Chief of the Games, Scottish Woods Faeries, Clans and a whole cast of Scottish characters will be parading down Main Street to the Peace Center.
  • Friday, May 24 – The Great Scot! Ceilidh begins at 7:30pm on the TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheater.  This truly unique concert will feature:

             Cleghorn and Albannach!

  • Saturday, May 25 – The Greenville Scottish Games at Furman University from 8:30am to 5pm.  Scotland comes to Greenville!  Pipes & Drum competitions, Wee Scotland for the kids, a Scottish Heritage area, Clans, Heavy Athletics, a British Car Show, highland dancing, great food and dry goods vendors – plus, the greatest Opening Ceremony anywhere at 10:30am.
  • Saturday, May 25 – The Celtic Jam at 6:30pm at Furman University.  This will feature these bands:

              Cleghorn, Seven Handle Circus, Rathkeltair and Albannach.
