Tickets on sale for College All Star Bowl

GREENVILLE, SC – December 3, 2013 – Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 College All Star Bowl being played at Furman University on February 14.

The game, which will be aired nationwide on the CBS Sports Network, features the Nationals against the Americans. The Nationals are made up of some of the best draft-eligible seniors in the country led by  Clemson Ring of Honor enshrine Danny Ford along with his assistant coaches including former NFL and collegiate greats Brian Dawkins and Nick Eason.

The Americans are also made up of some of the best draft-eligible seniors in the country led by College Football Hall of Famer Willie Jeffries and his assistant coaches including former NFL and collegiate greats Dwayne Harper and Charlie Brown. The teams will be made up of the best senior players from the SEC, ACC and across the nation.  Players accepting invites will be categorized in a player pool and then drafted by either the Nationals or Americans.

The game gives special focus to players entering the NFL Draft, creating an opportunity for football players all over the country, including South Carolina. The game also gives the assistant coaches an opportunity to be hired for coaching positions in the NFL as well as Universities and other leagues.  Additionally, the game supports a mentor program for the players and is working with sponsors to provide career opportunities for these athletes as well.  The College All Star Bowl will feature open practices for fans, autograph sessions, skills clinics and a scouting combine for athletes to test for NFL scouts.
