Trident Technical College to Hold Administrative Professionals Day Conference April 27

March 22, 2011 – The 17th Annual Administrative Professionals Conference will explore how passion and purpose can make a difference in your professional and personal life. Sponsored by Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development, the conference will be held 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April 27 at the College Center on TTC’s Main Campus, 7000 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Cost is $149 per person or $129 per person for International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) members.
 
Jennet Robinson Alterman, executive director of the Center for Women, will address the conference’s theme, Passion and Purpose. Nathalie Gregg, author of Leading in Stilettos, will discuss the importance of the spirit of play and Linda Ketner, president of KSI Leadership and Management Development, will explore how getting stuck in old patterns can deter growth. Lee Heyward, president of Charleston Style Concierge, LLC, will share tips on what to wear and Jim Young, human resources manager for the South Carolina Ports Authority, will discuss how to be happy with your job, co-workers and supervisor.  James Martin, software trainer at TTC, will demonstrate tools and techniques for managing personal and professional projects and tasks. Dr. Mary Thornley, president of Trident Technical College, will close the conference with remarks and a question and answer session. Door prizes and a vendor expo are also included in the conference.
