Tuition Rates Set For 2011-2012 Academic Year

SPARTANBURG, SC – June 30, 2011 – The University of South Carolina’s Board of Trustees approved a 2011-12 operating budget Thursday (June 30) aimed at providing students an outstanding educational experience while maintaining accessibility and keeping tuition as low as possible.
Tuition and required fees at USC Upstate, and all USC System campuses, will increase by 3.9 percent. Tuition and required fees for in-state undergraduates on the USC Upstate campus will change by $177 to $4,713 per semester. Non-resident tuition and required fees will increase by $354 to $9,246 per semester.
“USC Upstate is fortunate to have experienced continued growth in our enrollment over the last few years, and we are projecting a healthy increase in the number of freshmen who enroll this fall,” said Dr. John Stockwell, chancellor of USC Upstate. “We are very mindful of the financial burdens that our students and their families are facing and want to keep the possibility of an education at USC Upstate within reach.”
