United Way of the Piedmont welcomes Warren Hayslip as its new COO/VP of Finance & Administration.
Hayslip is a Spartanburg native who recently retired and returned to his hometown after a successful management and consulting career that took him across the United States and abroad. He holds a BA from Wofford College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. In 1980 he began his professional career locally at Milliken & Company and in the early 1990s he founded Priority Metrics Group, a market research and consulting firm based in the Spartanburg area.

Most recently, Hayslip served as President & CEO of Quality Industries, Inc., a privately-held precision metal works company based in Nashville, TN, with operations in Tennessee and Texas. Earlier, he served as COO of Peerless Mfg. Co., a global engineering and custom manufacturing company based in Dallas, TX, and as a Division General Manager of Donaldson Company, a major international manufacturer of filtration products and systems, based in Bloomington, MN.

He and his wife, Margaret, are excited now to be back in Spartanburg. Hayslip says, “After 36 years of management and consulting work in the for-profit sector and a brief retirement, I am now excited to go back to work in the nonprofit community as part of United Way of the Piedmont’s team. My goal now is to reconnect with the many fine people and institutions in Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union Counties, and to play a meaningful role in United Way’s important work ahead.”
