US Embassy Association honors Upstate group; AidJoy launches fundraiser to sustain support for charities

GREENVILLE, SC – November 12, 2013 – Greenville, South Carolina-based AidJoy, which provides technology and technical know-how to assist charities around the globe, is seeking support themselves so that the volunteer group can expand their philanthropic efforts.

AidJoy is a charity comprised of volunteer business professionals using their skills to create a better world.  Healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and protecting the vulnerable require business development, marketing, and technical resources.  AidJoy ensures the lasting success of charities, and makes the growth of frontline work possible.  Now AidJoy’s team is seeking support to expand their philanthropic efforts.

From now through year-end 2013, AidJoy’s online fundraiser will generate essential funds for the continued support of current projects, and to help additional charities in 2014.  Interested individuals are encouraged to support the 501(c)3 charitable organization by visiting the group’s fundraising website at http://www.razoo.com/story/Aidjoy2013 to make contributions or simply to help share the story of AidJoy with colleagues, friends and family.

The United States Embassy Association (USEA) recently issued a statement of commendation to AidJoy for the group’s most recent initiative, Project Amazonas. Project Amazonas delivers medical aid to remote communities in the Amazon rainforest.  AidJoy has helped Project Amazonas expand their medical program sixfold, from treating 1,500 patients annually to treating 9,000 patients a year.  Additionally AidJoy is overseeing the financing and construction of a medical facility in the region that will help 45,000 people annually.

This amazing project puts together the health and medication needs of the communities located in the isolated veins of Peru´s jungle, and the medical vocation, philanthropic interests, the possibility to become a volunteer, and the opportunity to have a unique experience of humanitarian assistance while traveling by river, noted Kyra Hamann, spokeswoman for the United States Embassy Association, in saluting AidJoy’s efforts.  Thousands of mothers and kids, men and women have benefited from this project, being able to get to a hospital and have their medical needs attended. Many lives have been saved. But there is still much more to do.

Healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and protecting the vulnerable require business, marketing, and technical resources, said AidJoy Executive Director Jonathan Shanin.  When charities spend money, time, and energy on these vital business requirements, they divert attention from the frontline where they are most needed.  At AidJoy, we provide them the support they need in these critical areas, thereby ensuring the lasting success of the charities.
