“I was very sad to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Justice Scalia.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

“I am very grateful for Justice Scalia’s nearly three decades of service on the Court.  He is one of the most consequential Justices in the history of the Court and our Nation has benefitted from his service.

“Justice Scalia was one of the great legal minds of his generation and his work has impacted the lives of all Americans.  He will be missed.”
