WKHS band director receives a ‘rosy’ honor

LEXINGTON, SC – White Knoll High Band Director Bob Barfield is headed to the 128th Rose Parade as a member of the 2017 Bands of America Honor Band staff.
Music for All, a national music education organization, selected Barfield and 19 other band directors from across the nation to serve as band staff members. Barfield will be part of the instrumental staff team.
Barfield will work with Band of America Honor Band students through FaceTime and Skype several times before the band’s performance in the 2017 Rose Parade,January 2, 2017, in Pasadena, California. He will also spend the week before the parade in California rehearsing.
Barfield is in his 23rd year of teaching high school band and his third year as director of the White Knoll Timberwolves Marching Pride. ~
