Woodruff musician to play free at Chapman Cultural Center

SPARTANBURG, SC – Woodruff-based musician Jeremy Willis will play live and in concert this Sunday, Feb. 7, 2-4 p.m. as the guest artist for Sundays Unplugged, a weekly program that invites the public to enjoy music, history, science, and the visual arts for free in a stress-free environment.
Willis started out in church performing at 8 years old. At 15, he performed at the Carolina Opry. In high school he was a self-proclaimed band geek and became the drum major in his junior year. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy, where he was in the Triple Threat Company and director of the Naval Band. Since then he has continued to write music, and in 2004 he started performing. In 2009, he entered the Wild Wing music challenge and won second place. Chapman Cultural Center hosts Sundays Unplugged weekly, 1-5 p.m. Spartanburg Art Museum, Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg Gallery, the Student Galleries, and Spartanburg Regional History Museum are all open and free.
