Zucker Family Inspiration Room Unveiled

CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce unveiled the Zucker Family Inspiration Room at a special event on Thursday, March 20.

The Zucker Family Inspiration Room is a part of the Chamber’s Catalyst Center, a space where aspiring high impact entrepreneurs and small business owners can connect, receive information, identify resources, meet with mentors and participate in programs designed for their business start-up and growth.

With the Zucker family’s long history of innovation, entrepreneurial success and global business growth, the Zucker Family Inspiration Room is designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. The room displays Jerry Zucker’s keys to success, including “Always have a sense of urgency and an obvious bias for action” and “Lead by example, your work ethic must become a standard for others to emulate”. The dedication of the Inspiration Room exemplifies the Zucker’s commitment to our region’s entrepreneurial community.

It is so fitting for the word’s that Jerry Zucker lived by to adorn the walls of this room within a space created to inspire innovation,” said Bryan Derreberry, President and CEO of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. “I want to thank Anita Zucker and Jonathan Zucker for their dedication to our community and for their support of the Inspiration Room and the Catalyst Center.

The evening also served as the launch of a new series hosted by the Chamber’s Catalyst Center, Open Pitch Night. Held on the third Thursday of every month, Open Pitch Night is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch a new idea for a product or service in order to get feedback and connect with potential collaborators, investors and customers.
