007th Annual YEScarolina Gala for youth entrepreneurship in SC

Over 500 guests attended the sold out YEScarolina 007th Annual Gala on Thursday, October 13th at the Gaillard Center. In addition to the annual gala being YEScarolina’s premiere fundraiser, it is a celebration of the youth entrepreneurship students and teacher from the 2015-2016 school year. The top seven South Carolinascreen-shot-2016-11-16-at-2-26-11-pm entrepreneurship students displayed their businesses and networked with guests. The students were presented with awards throughout the evening and Lucas Greenway of Wando High School was named 2016 Student of the Year, sponsored by Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant. Carolyn Southall of North Charleston High School was awarded the 2016 Teacher of the Year, sponsored by Lindsey Self Storage.

The evening was Golden to the Eye & thrilling to the taste buds starting with appetizers from Henrietta’s, chef stations sponsored by Halls Chophouse, Vincent Chicco’s, Zero George, Butcher & Bee, Slightly North of Broad, Lewis Barbecue, Tristan Catering & Events, Leon’s fine Poultry & Oyster Shop, Twenty Six Divine, and The Obstinate Daughter/Wild Olive. Following the exciting live auction with coveted trips to South Africa, Napa and Tuscany, guests danced to Quiana Parler and Friends while enjoying delectable desserts from WildFlour Pastry.
