100 Women Who Care Midlands SC donates $6,200.00 to Power in Changing

September 9, 2019

100 Women Who Care Midlands SC at their 3rd quarter meeting elected to support Power in Changing with a donation of $6,200. Members of 100 Women Who Care Midlands SC presented their checks directly to Ayanna White, Executive Director of Power in Changing, a Diaper Bank in the Midlands.  Their mission is to help babies and toddlers remain healthy and dry by providing their families with diapers and training pants.

With over 80 current members, 100 Women Who Care Midlands SC formed a chapter in the Midlands at the beginning of 2018 and looks forward to growing their membership to 100 or more members. 100 Women Who Care Midlands SC meets once quarterly for one hour and gives all donated monies to local non-profits in the Midlands of SC. Our members come from all walks of life and varying financial backgrounds with a simple desire to make an immediate, direct, and positive impact in our communities.

Members commit to giving one hour of their time each quarter to learn about local non-profits that are nominated by each member. Each member then agrees to support, financially, the local non-profit selected among those nominated and voted on, writing their checks directly to the selected non-profit each quarter. The combined giving of each members contribution makes a powerful impact locally. In addition to Power in Changing, the Midlands Chapter has donated $5,000 to The Courage Center and $6,000 to MIRCI during quarters one and two respectively.

100 Women Who Care Midlands SC invites women in the Midlands to become 1 of 100.
