13 Richland One seniors named 2020 National Merit Scholarship finalists
February 26, 2020Thirteen Richland One high school seniors have been named finalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program, a prestigious program which awards scholarships to academically talented students across the country. In this high-stakes competition, students will compete for 7,600 scholarships worth $31 million. Scholarship winners will be announced in the spring and summer. About National Merit Scholarship Program
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and college scholarships. There are three types of awards: National Merit $2,500 scholarships that are single-payment awards; corporate-sponsored Merit awards that may be renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study or one-time awards; and college-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards that are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.
