13 Richland One seniors named 2020 National Merit Scholarship finalists

Thirteen Richland One high school seniors have been named finalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program, a prestigious program which awards scholarships to academically talented students across the country. In this high-stakes competition, students will compete for 7,600 scholarships worth $31 million. Scholarship winners will be announced in the spring and summer. Richland One congratulates the following seniors for their selection as finalists:

About National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and college scholarships. There are three types of awards: National Merit $2,500 scholarships that are single-payment awards; corporate-sponsored Merit awards that may be renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study or one-time awards; and college-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards that are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study.
