Genesis Press and The Fine Arts Center Team Up for Innovative Fundraising Program

GREENVILLE, SC – September 22, 2011 – Genesis Press, a locally owned and operated leader in commercial printing, announced plans to team up with The Fine Arts Center for an innovative new school fundraiser. Genesis will produce a first of its kind limited edition 2012 calendar that fully showcases the creativity and brilliance of the school’s student body.  The Fine Arts Center of Greenville County is the first school for gifted secondary students in the literary, visual and performing arts in South Carolina.

“With the creativity of our students and staff, combined with the extraordinary printing capabilities of Genesis Press, this calendar promises to be anything but your run of the mill wall hanging,” said Dr. Roy Fluhrer, Director of The Fine Arts Center.  “The marriage of student imagination with professional execution is evident throughout the calendar making each new month’s feature a delightful discovery.  We celebrate the arts each school day and, now, we invite the community to celebrate with us, throughout the entire year!”

The calendar, which was designed by The Fine Arts Center’s Visual Arts department and produced by Genesis Press, features 16 pages of powerful visuals showcasing the best of student work captured in unique and fun layouts that anyone can enjoy.

“We are excited to help The Fine Arts Center raise awareness of their programs and to boost funding for the school by donating all of the production work and materials for this incredible 2012 calendar,” said Larry Kudeviz, CEO and Owner of Genesis Press.

The 11 x 17 spiral-bound calendar, which will be available in late October, will have a retail price of $10, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Fine Arts Center, as a result of the project being totally underwritten by Genesis Press.  The 2012 Fine Arts Center calendar will be sold through student distribution, on The Fine Arts Center website, at select retail locations and through other supporters of The Fine Arts Center.
